Seth Holden Hut

Seth Holden Hut was built in 2018. It can be accessed from the Bomber Hut or a trail between Mint and Dnigi Huts.

  • Water: Glacial fed stream and lakes nearby.

  • Outhouse: Downhill from the hut (south-southeast, approximately 25-50 yards). Burn your used toilet paper.

  • Inventory: Bring your own fuel and stove. Sleeps 8-10 people. Hut is insulated.

  • Location: North Northeast of Montana Peak in a north facing glacier cirque overlooking the Kashwitna drainage. 4.6 miles northeast of the Bomber Hut, about 12.6 miles from the Reed Lakes trailhead. Elevation ~ 4450 feet.

  • Coordinates: 61° 54' 28.08'' N, 149° 2' 34.08'' W [61.9078, -149.0428]

Access

Accessing the hut requires glacier travel skills and goes through avalanche terrain. Beware of inherent risks.
